Opening Ceremony DXBMUN’17

The Opening Ceremony of the Round Square Model United Nations Conference was held at The Shaikh Rashid Auditorium at The Indian High School on April 26, 2017.

IHS is hosting more than 400 delegates from 21 schools across the world for the conference which runs from 26 April -29 April 2017. Among the attending schools are schools from Armenia, Japan, India, Bangladesh, and Oman.

The highlight of the evening was the inspirational talk by Arjuna Awardee Padmashree Deepa Malik, winner of the Silver Medal at the Paralympic Games, 2016 whose grit and strength of character left the audience awestruck. It was an interactive program followed by a Q & A session for the students.

Special guests included Ms. Hind Al Mualla, Chief of Creativity, Happiness and Innovation at ‎KHDA and Ms. Sumati Vasudev, Consul Education, Consulate General of India.

Director General DXBMUN welcomed the delegates in his speech. The Secretary General DXBMUN declared the conference open by the ceremonial striking of the gavel.
