Grade 5 & 6 (Girls)
Annual Day was held on February 6th. The objective of this day for students was to showcase their spirit of oneness & unity and portray talents in various forms.
Grade 5 & 6 (Boys)
Card Making Competition titled ‘I Love Mom and Dad’ was conducted on February 14th. On account of Valentine’s Day students were engaged in this art work. It helped them appreciate the love & affection of their parents and express their gratitude. It also aimed to inculcate the value of love and respect.
Grade 8 (Girls)
Street Play was organised on February 6th. During this activity, students performed on the topic given to them and brought out the social issues of the society. It was also an opportunity to develop their acting and organizational skills.
Grade 7 & 8 (Boys)
Annual Day planned to be held on February 5th was postponed to February 11th because of holiday on 5th February to honour the visit of Pope. During this day, students presented a dance drama titled ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumhara…Together We Can’. It helped them learn the values like togetherness and unity. It also helped in their all-round development.
Grade 9 (Girls)
Calligraphy Competition (English) was conducted on February 3rd. The objective of this inter-house competition for students was to develop their creative expressions and writing skills. Students selected after a preliminary round were finally judged on the basis of writing style, curves, patterns and legibility.
Grade 11 (Girls)
Annual Exams began from February 14th onwards. These exams aimed to evaluate comprehensively the learning and understanding of the entire year’s syllabus.
A Student Talk on the topic ‘Growing Up Smart’ was conducted on February 4th for grade 5 boys. This talk helped students to be aware of the different aspects of growing up.
Student Talks on the topic ‘Effective Communication’ were held on February 10th for grade 6 boys and on February 17th for grade 6 girls. The purpose of these talks for students was to help them understand barriers to communication and find a way to deal with it.
CPD Program on E-Learning – Destination Success and Use of Interactive White Boards were held from February 17th till 27th respectively. These trainings helped teachers to understand the collaborative tool needed. They were trained in the effective use of the eLearning modules along with the eLearning equipment that is made available in the classroom. It also helped to determine the level and effectiveness of teachers in using the ‘interactive white boards’.
