GRADE-WISE

Grade 5 & 6 (Boys)

Half Yearly Examination will be conducted from October 4th till 15th. This examination will allow students to monitor and improve their learning, with the help of teacher feedback.

Grade 7 & 8 (Girls)

Thematic Assembly titled ‘International Day of Non Violence’ will be held on October 1st. The objective of this assembly is to highlight the importance of Non Violence and how our leaders have worked towards achieving peace in the world. Students will be engaged in a role play about the topic.

Grade 7 & 8 (Boys)

Thematic Assembly titled ‘Non Violence’ will be conducted on October 1st. This assembly aim to make students aware about the importance of Non Violence and its relevance to grow up as global citizen.

Grade 9 & 10 (Girls)

Periodic Test - 2 will be conducted from October 4th till 14th. This test aim to assess the knowledge, skills and aptitude of the students. It will help to measure their learning progress & achievement and to evaluate effectiveness of the educational programs.

Grade 9 & 10 (Boys)

Non-Violence Day will be celebrated on October 3rd. During this day, drawing and painting contest will be organised for students. It will help to strengthen & secure a culture of peace, tolerance, understanding and non-violence.

Periodic Test 2 will be conducted from October 4th till 15th. This test is an assessment for the portions done from April to September.

Grade 11 & 12

Sciscape will be held on October 9th. This program will be an opportunity for students to showcase their innovative & creative ideas in various segments like quiz, exhibition of working models, spin the wheel, movie making on science inventions and systems useful for people of determination and more. It will also help them to design, develop & build science based innovation and apply science skills to solve practical problems.

Grade 11 & 12 (Girls)

Unit Test will be conducted on October 2nd for grade 11 and Mid Term Exams will be conducted on October 4th for grade 12. The objective of the unit test is to evaluate student learning, skill acquisition and academic achievement at the end of a unit.

Humanities Day (Metanoia) will be held on October 7th. This program organized by the Humanities department will help students to develop their cross curricular links associated with the various subjects that they learn.

Psycon program will be conducted on October 7th & 8th. This event organized by the Psychology students will help them to challenge, motivate & inspire everybody to enhance their potential and broaden their psychological perspective of the world.

Fortnight Delite program will be organised on October 11th. Through this program, students will introduce the concept of a nutritious meal in their life with fun and good taste. It will also help to provide interdisciplinary learning opportunities for them.

CAREER CENTRE

Special Presentations of Nottingham Trent University (UK) & University of Pennsylvania (USA) will be held on October 1st and University of California Los Angeles (USA) will be held on October 8th for grade 12. These presentations aim to give orientation to students about their programs offer, admission requirements, application process, fee structure and deadline of application.

USA Universities Fair (Linden Tour) will be conducted on October 7th for grade 12. Through this fair, students will meet university representatives. They will have first-hand information about their programs offer, admission requirements, application process, fee structure and deadline of application.

Special Presentations and Mini Fair of Rutgers University, Indiana University & Colorado University will be held on October 9th for grade 12. During these presentations and mini fair, students will understand the university’s programs offer, admission requirements, application process, fee structure and deadline of application.

A Special Presentation of Les Roches International School of Hotel Management (Switzerland) will be conducted on October 10th for grade 12 Commerce & Humanities. The purpose of this presentation is to give orientation to students about their programs offer, admission requirements, application process, fee structure and deadline of application.

A Special Presentation of American University (USA) will be conducted on October 13th for grade 12 Science & Commerce with Maths. The objective of this presentation is to give orientation to students about their programs offer, admission requirements, application process, fee structure and deadline of application.

CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

CPD Program on E-Learning – “Destination Success” and “Use of Interactive White Boards” will be conducted from October 1st till 15th (tentative dates) for teachers respectively. This program will help teachers to understand all collaborative tools needed. It will also help to determine their level and effectiveness in using the interactive white boards.

A Workshop will be conducted for senior secondary school teachers on October 12th in the subject of Physics (Grade 11 & 12). This workshop will help teachers to improve their ‘Question Paper Setting’ skills. They will also be trained in handling ‘HOTS’ questions pertaining to analysis, synthesis and evaluation.

A Workshop titled ‘A Teacher – A Legend’ will be held on October 13th for middle school teachers in the subject of Science (Grades 6-8). During this workshop, resource person from India will deal the following topics: - Bringing out best in students, Recognizing and promoting excellence, Teacher – a skillful communicator & motivator for high student’s achievements and Mistakes teachers should not commit.

SPORTS

Our Basketball boys’ team will compete from September 30th to October 3rd and girls’ team will compete from October 1st to 3rd in the CBSE Cluster Inter-School Basketball Championship 2018 at the Delhi Private School, Dubai.

Selected students under-19 & 17 ages will represent our school football team (girls) for the CBSE (UAE) Cluster Girls Football Tournament, 2018-2019 on October 3rd & 4th at Gulf Asian English School, Sharjah.
