Grade 5 & 6 (Boys)
Winter Carnival activity in the school lawn will be organised on January 29th. This activity will be an opportunity for students to celebrate the heritage and culture of India & UAE. It will also help to inculcate among them the skills of organization, collaboration, entrepreneurship and social responsibility.
Grade 9 & 10
IHS PSS 2 will be conducted on January 22nd. This exam aim to provide students with opportunities to use their knowledge in meaningful, real-life activities and assist them in working at higher levels of thinking. It will also help to assess and improve their skills of reading literacy, scientific literacy & numeracy. It will prepare them to face real life problems and solve them by applying appropriate skills systematically.
Grade 9 (Girls)
Periodic Test 3 will be concluded on January 21st. This test aim to measure students’ academic progress & attainment and to provide effective feedback to improve the quality of the learning – teaching process.
Grade 10 (Girls)
Model Exam will be concluded on January 25th. The purpose of this exam is to prepare students for the upcoming Board Examination.
Grade 9 (Boys)
Volunteer in Dubai activity will be organised on January 18th. Students will be involved in activities that promote and demonstrate good citizenship & community service. It will also help to encourage them to participate in community service and to contribute in the march of humanitarian work.
Grade 9 & 10 (Boys)
Farewell for Grade 10 will be held on January 30th. The objective of this program is to appreciate the potential of students, express our heartfelt blessings and wish luck and success for their future. Heads of Department will share various tips and tricks for upcoming board examinations and motivate the students to face the challenge. Grade 9 will stage a variety of entertainment programs and make the day a memorable one for their seniors.
Unit Test will be conducted from January 28th onwards. The purpose of this test for students is to evaluate their learning in a few topics and for the teachers to evaluate their contribution.
Grade 11 (Girls)
Final Examination (Practical) will be concluded on January 16th.
Grade 11 (Boys)
E-Ship Fair will be held on January 22nd. This fair is part of students’ practical training. It will help to develop their skills in the field of entrepreneurship.
Model Practical Exams will be conducted on January 17th for boys and during this month for girls. These exams aim to test the students’ practical skills and prepare them to face the board practical exams.
Arabic Spelling competition will be conducted on January 18th for grade 5 & 6. This competition will help students to improve their vocabulary and written skills.
Arabic Elocution competition will be held on January 28th for grade 9. Through this competition, students will be able to develop their confidence level and communication skills. It will also help in the development of their Arabic language skills.
Summarization of Stories on the topic ‘Arabic’ will be held on January 29th for grade 7 & 8. This activity will help students to improve their written skills in Arabic language. It will also help to develop their high order thinking.
Islamic Elocution competition will be conducted on January 29th for grade 5 & 6, on January 30th for grade 7 & 8 and on January 31st for grade 9. This competition aim to improve students’ confidence level, knowledge and speaking skills.
Republic Day will be celebrated on January 26th. The objective of this program for students is to instill the feeling of solidarity towards their motherland and to commemorate the day when India’s constitution came into force on January 26, 1950, completing the country’s transition toward becoming an independent republic. It will also be an opportunity to salute the great nation India and the great people who strived & are striving towards making this country greater at an international level. School fraternity, parents will be invited to witness.
Future Doctor’s Programme by Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) Medical University of Bahrain will be conducted on January 23rd for grade 12 Science with Biology. Students will have active participation in interactive workshops comprising of basic medical sciences, clinical skills & communications, as well as information and advice sessions.
International Education Show featuring India Universities / Colleges will be held on January 24th for grade 11 boys and on January 25th for grade 11 girls. This fair will be an opportunity for students to meet university representatives and be informed about their programs offer, admission requirements, application process, fee structure and deadline of application.
Students Talks on the topics ‘Growing up Gracefully’ for grade 5 girls and ‘Positive Personality’ for grade 7 boys will be conducted on January 28th. These talks will help grade 5 girls in adjusting to changes as they grow and grade 7 boys in shaping their personality in a positive manner.
Students Talks on the topics ‘Self Awareness & Managing your Emotions’ for grade 8 boys and ‘Adding Value to your Profile’ for grade 9 girls will be held on January 30th. Through these talks, grade 8 boys will be made aware of changing emotions & strategy to manage them and grade 9 girls will be made aware of importance of adding value to their profile.
A Student Talk on the topic ‘College Readiness – Part 3’ will be conducted during this month for grade 11. This talk will be an opportunity for students to know how to get started for college search and admissions.
CPD Program on E-Learning – “Destination Success” and “Use of Interactive White Boards” will be held on January 17th, 18th, 24th, 25th & 31st (tentative dates). This program will help teachers to understand all collaborative tools needed. It will also help to determine their level and effectiveness in using the interactive white boards.
A Workshop for secondary school teachers from grade 9 & 10 will be conducted on January 19th in the subject of Science. This workshop aims at prepare the teachers to set better question paper and to teach effectively.
A Workshop titled ‘Middle Level Leadership – Concerns, Issues and Implication for Development’ will be held on January 20th for Supervisors, Headmaster and Headmistress. This workshop’s objective is to add and improve leadership skills.
